Gujarat Ayurved University was founded in 1967. The University has been exclusively dedicated to studies and research Ayurvedic. It is the first of its Kind for the purpose of the statutory University at both national and international level.
This University is linked to the Ministry of health and family welfare. It offers B.A.M.S., Ph.d. (Aju) P.G. Diploma Yoga, m. d. (Aju) and naturopathy, Certificate Course Yoga and Ayurveda, naturopathy, referred to in the preamble to the course of the plants, kandi (Yoga), M.SC. and Ph.d. in plants.
